If the pelvis is displaced for a long time, the body itself will correct and compensate for the violation and muscle adaptation will occur. Therefore, a long period of pelvic distortion entails long-term treatment.
Based on this, it is important to determine whether you have a pelvic distortion.
Of course, it’s easier to see a doctor and get an X-ray or MRI. But first you can check it yourself if you have a pelvic distortion.
To do this, determine the level of location of the anterior superior and posterior inferior iliac bones and record the obtained values.
* Determine the geometry of the lower anterior iliac bones.
We stand up and place our palms on the sides of the pelvis and feel the anterior iliac bones with our thumbs.
We determine the presence or absence of symmetry.
* Determine the geometry of the upper iliac bones.
We stand up, place our palms on the upper iliac bones and look at the horizontal level. If the level is different, for example, the left palm is higher, you have a pelvic tilt to the left.
* Determine the geometry of the posterior iliac bones.
To do this, take a marker and mark the protruding tubercles with dots. Next, we determine their horizontal level.
