The nature of lust or material desires - they cannot be satisfied by fulfilling them, that is, at some point it just needs to be checked and stopped.
This does not mean that we completely stop desiring something,
this is impossible, for desire is the nature of the soul, but it has other desires besides material ones. There is material nature, there is spiritual nature - these are the true desires of the soul and its desire for love.
* The original desire for love belongs to the spiritual nature, this nature is directly connected to the source of love, to the Supreme Personality of Godhead, and through it we can truly love all those around us and our loved ones.
* Again, it does not mean that the spiritual life is "just me and God", no doubt, all the rest are also parts of it, viz.
manifests in them as well - one does not contradict the other. The fact is that these material desires, that is, concerning our body, even our mind, some subtle aspirations of our false ego, are never satisfied.
We must give a minimum to material desires, some needs we have, we must satisfy them. If this is not given, the mind will go mad, and then we will have to do everything by force.
It's like with diets: someone wants to lose weight - he stops eating completely, then he can't stand it and starts eating uncontrollably.
Therefore, it is important to understand your nature and give yourself what you need. Because nature is Daiva Shakti, that is, it is material nature. This is also the divine nature, and it is stronger than us. If we suppress it, then we will be forced to obey it, and then we may, as they say, "get away with it," and again there will be such overconsumption.
But the idea is that balance is very important here, not to let this fire (lust) burn too much, because it will consume everything, it will consume our inner energy and it will lead to a state of complete dissatisfaction, such vulnerability, anxiety and all negative situations. That is, we will feel as if we are being roasted on fire, because the desire is fiery.
So, it is very important not to let yourself be led by the desires of others.
The age we live in is very unbalanced and people emit an endless stream of desires, it flows from everywhere and all these can capture us, leading to such inner destruction.
